Curry Community Health is looking to hire for Reception. This is a full time position offering health benefits (medical, dental, vision), holiday pay, paid time off as well as life insurance and 403b.
Reception is the first point of contact for clients and visitors for the agency. This position is responsible for data entry by utilizing various computer programs, maintaining client records for a variety of clinics and programs, assisting clients to access services, and performing special projects upon request. This position requires independent decision making. Reception is required to be fully trained in all clerical areas and duties.
Some Responsibilities include:
Scheduling patients; making reminder calls to clients prior to appointments; assisting patients with paperwork as necessary; answering questions or directing patients to the appropriate staff member or organization for answers and assistance.
Optimizes patient’s satisfaction and provider time.
Collecting copay, account balances, and fees.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, inputting, and updating personal and financial information.
Customer service and communication skills are required. Answer telephones and route calls or take messages. He/she must be adequately familiar with agency services.
Comforts patients by anticipating anxieties and answering patients questions.
Protects patients rights by maintaining confidentiality.
Maintains office supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and maintaining the reception area.
Work Location: Port Orford, Oregon
Work Hours: Normal business hours, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, excluding paid holidays. Work hours may vary to meet agency needs. Staff are assigned to a 40 hour work week.
High School graduation or equivalent; advanced computer training; minimum two (2) years’ experience in secretarial or clerical position, and/or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which would demonstrate the ability to perform the above described duties.
Current driver’s license, pass a pre-employment drug test, and pass the criminal background check required by the State of Oregon.
Necessary skills include multi-tasking, flexibility, telephone skills, customer service, time management, organization, and attention to detail, scheduling, word processing, and professionalism.
Pay Range: $14.00 to $17.00 per hour
