Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Brooks Oglesby-Junk, Nurse Practitioner is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina. Brooks has extensive experience in treating PTSD and anxiety disorders and participated in award winning research studies treating clients with PTSD in a primary care setting. After many years of service in the VAMC, she moved to Oregon to work as an attending in a forensic psychiatric unit. She was the first Nurse Practitioner to work in this capacity at Oregon State Hospital. She has also worked in the outpatient services in Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington treating clients who were living with a variety of mental health conditions. Brooks considers each client as the most important member of the treatment team, believing each person can achieve a high level of wellness. Brooks is an affiliate faculty for Oregon Health Science University Nursing school and is dual boarded as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has over 15 years of experience in treating mental health disorders and promoting wellness. She served as Captain in the US Air Force as a flight nurse and is a veteran of Desert Storm.
